Forrester: Enterprises are facing the growing challenges of using disparate sources of data managed by different applications, including problems with data integration, security, performance, availability and quality. Business users want fast, real-time and reliable information to make business decisions; while IT wants to lower costs, minimize complexity and improve operational efficiency.
Our customers are no different. They own multiple enterprise software packages, each with their own data. There is a significant need to aggregate that data from their disparate sources to create a logical, single, virtual view of information for use by front-end solutions such as applications, dashboards, portals, etc.

Back End - The Data Sources [enterprise software packages, data warehouses, etc.]
The Coldwater Application Platform [CAPPS] is built upon the disparate, heterogeneous data sources that are in use at your company - sources like ERP/MRP, etc. leveraging your existing application investments.
The Middle Layer
We identify the front-end solution(s) that needs this information - this will dictate the fields that will need to be created in the CAPPS Platform. We will use the appropriate tools [SOA, XML, CGI or some other integration code] to gather the needed data from the data sources. If any additional functionality is desired, that code will reside here.
Front End Solutions
We use .NET, AJAX, C# and/or Java Scripts to create web pages to display the aggregated information in a web browser or we pass the information into the software solution that needs it.
